DOXY-500
Antibiotics
DOXY-500
Doxycycline is active against gram-positive and gram negative microorganisms, including Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., (including St. pneumoniae), Bacillus anthracis, Listeria monocytogenes, Clostridium spp., Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp., Enterobacter spp., Shigella spp., Klebsiella spp., Bordetella spp; Corynebacterium spp., Spirochaeta spp., Mycoplasma spp., Bacteroides spp., Treponema spp., Rickettsia spp., Chlamydia psittaci, Erlichia spp. and Anaplasma spp. Lincomycin is primarily active against the majority of gram-positive microorganisms, including Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Pneumococcus spp., Clostridium spp., Corynebacterium spp., Haemophilus spp., Bordetella spp., Actinomyces spp., Treponema hyodysenteriae and Mycoplasma spp. The mode of action of DOXYLIN-100 is based on the suppression of protein synthesis on the level of ribosomes due to the fixation of the antibiotic with the 50S-subunit of the ribosome and the inhibition of protein synthesis in the microbal cell, breaking the connection of transport aminoacyl-RNA with 30S subunit of the ribosome membrane.
